The project 

The administration of the Canton of Zug planned to digitize its services. Customers should be able to conduct all administrative business efficiently, securely and paperless with their electronic signature at any time and from anywhere.

Therefore, Adnovum was commissioned with consulting, concept, and design for the development of a safe and reliable user account web application. Based on the Nevis Security Suite, the solution – ZUGLOGIN – provides secure and convenient access to the Canton of Zug’s online offering for both users and administration.

 

The goal: The administration of Zug provides its customers with secure access to its online offerings, thereby enhancing public service and the interaction with its customers (no more time-consuming visits to offices).

The process: Adnovum supports the administration of the Canton of Zug during the entire process – from consulting, concept and design to the support of the user account web application.

The result: Customers and administration no longer print out online forms, sign them and send them by post. Today, they conveniently use digital channels anytime and anywhere, so everyone saves time and money. The system – currently used by more than 10’000 users – shall be expanded to up to 90’000 users.

With a history reaching back over 660 years, the administration of the Canton of Zug today counts around 2300 employees and covers all administrative affairs of the canton from health to finance and from education to civil and criminal law.

It is one of the most populous cantons in Switzerland and the smallest canton to have two seats in the Council of States. In addition to its high population density, the Canton of Zug is considered the most prosperous canton and an important tax haven in Switzerland.

By digitizing the entire public service and its interface, the Canton of Zug is doing valuable pioneering work on a national level and responds swiftly to growing demands and user numbers.
